An AI audiobook, chapter by chapter

Journzy produces the audiobook by chapter. You produce one, listen to it and review it before you move on to the next. The audio comes from the text of your book, exactly as you wrote it.

You get one audio file per chapter, checked by you before you continue. The AI reads your text aloud and does not change it.

You choose your audiobook voice. You can also work with custom voices. Proper names and invented places may not sound the way you imagined them. Journzy lets you adjust the pronunciation and listen before you approve the chapter.

Why the audiobook is sold separately

Voice production costs money for every hour of audio, so the subscription never includes synthesis. You pay for the audiobook per production. Sold separately; you see the price before you produce.

The audiobook works with the Free plan and with the Author plan, and neither one includes it. You can write, share and export your book without buying it. Plan details are on the pricing page.

Your book in text and in audio

The same book can come out as an EPUB, a print PDF, a DOCX and an audiobook. Format and export the text on the export page and design your cover on the covers page. The audio follows the order of your chapters.

  3. You see the price before you produce.
  4. Produce the chapter and listen to it.
  5. Adjust the pronunciation if you need to, and move on to the next chapter.
