Terms of Service

Journzy is in private beta. These terms are short and honest on purpose: they cover the journzy.com waitlist and your use of the service once you receive an invitation. By joining the list or using Journzy, you accept them.
What Journzy is
Journzy is an AI-powered writing studio for character-driven fiction: it reads your manuscript against your story bible — characters, places, relationships that evolve chapter by chapter — and flags continuity contradictions while you write. The AI checks, suggests and remembers.
Your writing is yours
You retain all rights to your manuscripts and to your story-bible content. Journzy claims no intellectual property over what you write: not now, not on export, not if you leave the service.
You grant us only the minimum licence needed to operate the service: storing your text and processing it to run the checks you ask for. Nothing more. And as our privacy policy states, your text never trains AI models without your explicit, revocable opt-in consent.
The AI never writes your story
This is a term of service, not a slogan: no code path in Journzy writes or rewrites your text on its own. The AI detects and flags; you decide and make the changes. Every flag carries an “It's intentional” button — an unreliable narrator, a lying character or a deliberate continuity break are your calls, and the author always has the last word.
A product in beta
During the beta the service is free and evolves quickly: features may change or be withdrawn, and availability is best-effort, with no service-level guarantee.
If we ever discontinued the service, we would give you reasonable notice and you could export your manuscripts and your story bible before shutdown.
Waitlist and accounts
Joining the list does not guarantee access: we open in invitation waves. All we ask for is a real email address, handled per the privacy policy.
Once you receive your invitation, the account is personal: keep your credentials safe and tell us if you spot unauthorised access.
Acceptable use
Use Journzy to write within the law, and don't try to break, overload or bypass the service's security. That's all.
Liability
The beta is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited; nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or cuts back rights you hold as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law and the law of the European Union. If you are a consumer, you additionally keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
